I'm feeling quite down again. It's unexplained, probably satan-attack, although uncalled for because I'm talking to JR again, my friends are ace, I'm content, I'm excited about what God is doing in my town (church starts here tomorrow!!) and I'm getting loads of work done at work which is making me feel productive. Why then do I feel so empty, pointless and sad? I think I need to get into my Bible more... it could be what's causing it...
*sigh*
Here is a meme I made up to make me feel better. It's similar to one I've done before, but I am going to tag some people to do the same. My 20 greatest movie moments (in no particular order)
- The Blues Brothers - The whole movie is zingy, but those car chases and the Blues Review, and man, that climactic car chase!!
- Love Actually - "What could be worse than the total agony of being in love?" "Let's go get the s**t kicked out of us by love!" - Sam. When the Prime Minister dances to "Jump".
- The Goonies - When the villians torture Chunk to talk and he tells them all about the time he made everyone in the cinema puke.
- The Spongebob Squarepants Movie - The Hoff!! Spongebob: "And tonight we're going to party til we're purple". Patrick: "I love being purple!"
- Amistad - When the main character hears all the noise in the courtroom and with the little english he has learned he stands and exclaims "Give us us free!" and all the other african slaves join him.
- Bridget Jones' Diary - When Bridget tells Daniel Cleaver what she thinks of him and walks out, and the music kicks in with "RESPECT" as she does so.
- The Fellowship of the Ring - When Frodo announces he will take the ring, and Gandalf closes his eyes in relief and sadness for what the little hobbit has agreed to undertake. When Gandalf shouts "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" to the Balrog.
- The Return of the King - "My friends, you bow to no man" - Aragorn.
- The Others - The twist. Say no more.
- Ten Things I Hate About You - When Patrick sings "You're just too good to be true..." to Kat. The Paintballing scene.
- Blast from the Past - When Adam sees the sky for the first time, and people look up to see what he's looking at.
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - When Verucca Salt gets pushed down the rubbish shoot by squirrels. Very dark, but you can't help thinking that Dahl would have LOVED it.
- The Lion King - I'm sorry for this one, but I have always LOVED the animation in the opening sequence, "The Circle of Life". I shouldn't really be apologising for a movie I know all the words too.
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azcaban - ALL OF IT!! The knight bus, Sirius and Remus.
- Wallace and Gromit and the Curse of the Wererabbit - When Wallace shouts "arrrgggghhhh!!" down the phone to Lady Tottington and she says "An hour? I can't possibly wait an hour". When Lady Tottington tells Wallace he can call her "Totty". Hehe.
- The Italian Job - The Mini Chase and "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"
- A Knight's Tale - Chaucer's entrance and brilliant introductions.
- Dead Poet's Society - When Robin Williams' characters' class stand up on their desks and say "Oh captain my captain!" as protest to him being asked to leave.
- Star Wars IV - A New Hope - When Luke uses the force to blast the first Death Star to oblivion.
- Star Wars Episode 1 - Qui Gonn Ginn and Obi Wan Kenobi fight Darth Maul. Practically perfect in every way!
