Woman of strength and dignity
Proverbs 31:25
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. Proverbs 31:25
This is the woman I want to be, this is the woman God is transforming me to become.
She walks with her head held high, because she knows God delights in her and so she wants to keep her face turned towards Him. She is joyful, even in suffereing, there is always a smile playing on her lips and around her eyes.
She is delighted and entranced by beauty. She is enthusiastic. She talks to others with an easy grace, and listens to them and is genuinely interested in what they have to say, and not always thinking of what she could add.
She uses touch to comfort and console but uses other things; a look, a smile, a word of encouragement before touch. Touch is saved for grave need and is given gently and with consideration for the specific needs of the person it is offered to. She never touches out of a need to be touched herself.
She faces life with confidence that God loves her and always has her best interests at heart, and is relaxed and at peace even in stressful circumstances. She knows how to entertain and inform, and her words are wise and timely. She also knows when and how to remain silent.
She leads sacrificially, caring more for the people she leads than herself.
She is slow to anger. She forgives everyone even if forgiveness is not requested. She forgets offences made against her.
She is soft, delicate and unassuming, but quiet and inwardly strong. She makes everybody feel welcome and special. She praises God for all things and knows her true identity in God, and praises him daily for how He made her, and has her hands and life open to Him transforming her.
She makes herself vulnerable to others, she trusts people implicitly and always tries to find God in every person and situation.
She recognises the lies of satan and never agrees with them.
